About Us

When we were both in our late teens and early twenties, the Lord began pulling at our hearts and showing us our need for a deeper relationship with Him.

During a time of uncertainty in Kelsey’s life, a sorority sister at the University of Arkansas encouraged her to go to a StuMo (college campus ministry) Conference in Oklahoma City. It was there that Kelsey understood how the Lord desires to use us all to fulfill the Great Commission. She knew she wanted to be a part of seeing people across the world come to know the Lord.

Soon after, she signed up for a 6-week trip called Global Training School with her church to learn more about what it’s like to be a cross-cultural missionary. She visited Albania and Kosovo and met and learned from many wonderful missionaries who encouraged her heart to continue to serve the Lord overseas. It was in Albania that a friend mentioned tribal missions to Kelsey which spurred her to learn more.

When she came back to the states, she began looking into tribal missions and unreached people groups. She wanted to go on a vision trip to discern where it was that the Lord would have her serve. Even after several options to go on tribal missions trips fell through, the Lord continued to put it on her heart to pray and seek out where it was He would send her.

Eventually, God brought a missionary couple from Ethnos360 into Kelsey’s life. This couple was being commissioned by the church after 4 years of training to go and serve among the unreached in Papua New Guinea. They told the congregation about a 6-week trip with Ethnos360 called Interface for anyone who was interested in being exposed to tribal missions. But the couple was heading out soon, so they would need to meet with anyone who was interested very quickly. Kelsey jumped on the opportunity and met up with them for coffee the very next day. A few months later, she was on a plane headed to PNG.

Nathan’s parents are missionaries at Ethnos360’s state-side Home Office in Sanford, Florida. Because of this, he grew up surrounded by godly men and women who were passionate about spreading the Gospel to people who had never heard. At a young age Nathan understood that he had a role to play in missions and desired to be a missionary, following in the footsteps of others in his family.

Knowing the Lord was leading him into ministry, Nathan decided to intern during high school with his church in Longwood, FL. At the encouragement of some of his church mentors, Nathan was considering going to seminary and becoming a pastor. But he still felt that deep sense of longing to be a part of cross-cultural missions.

Nathan grew up knowing about Ethnos360’s Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI (the first step of missionary training with Ethnos360) and decided to attend an event called Catch the Vision put on for prospective students. On the last day of Catch the Vision, the President of the BI, Ron Lindsay, said, “There are people begging to hear God’s talk; there are whole tribes and people groups with no hope. And now is the time to obey Jesus when he said, ‘Go.’”

Nathan left the event still deciding between missions and local church ministry. But when he returned to central Florida, God began stripping him of some earthly desires and removing other good options from his path. At first, he was crushed. Though looking back, Nathan could see God’s divine hand amidst it all. God had been taking him on a journey into missions and Nathan began to clearly see the path the Lord was laying before him.

We ended up starting at the Bible Institute at the same time, as classmates. So often we would find ourselves lingering after classes and processing all we had just learned. Kelsey was drawn to these deep conversations and began to really value Nathan’s friendship. And Nathan thought Kelsey was completely different than any person he had ever met. He admired her desire to quickly respond when she learns more of God’s truth. She had just gone to Papua New Guinea with Ethnos360 and learned about tribal missions and was on fire for what God had for her. Nathan was drawn to this. But she told him that she was going to Papua New Guinea and wouldn’t compromise on that if he wasn’t planning to do the same. He was blown away by her faith.

"At the time, I was filled with self-doubt. I had always longed to serve in PNG like my older brother, but I didn’t think I had what it took to be a cross-cultural missionary. But Kelsey’s faith and confidence in the Lord inspired me. She was encouraging, caring, and constantly pointed me to Christ. I realized that it was Christ in me who would accomplish His goals and I knew I wanted to do that with Kelsey by my side. God gave me the person I needed in my life. Someone who was confident of truth and followed her convictions. Someone who I always enjoyed being around.”

We got married after our first year of Bible School and continued on through the next 3 years of training with Ethnos360. During that time, the Lord blessed our family by adding two sweet additions to our ministry team in our children, Simeon and Sienna.
